Welcome to St Eunan's National School Raphoe

Welcome Letter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to St Eunan’s NS, Raphoe. We are a warm and friendly school dedicated to creating a safe, stimulating, and happy learning environment for all of our students to thrive in. Our child-centred approach to teaching and learning prioritises the individual needs of our students. We inspire a real love of learning and a strong foundation for their future. Great importance and emphasis are placed on having a positive and respectful attitude in and out of the classroom to promote a happy learning environment.

We are excited and pleased to announce that our new school extension is completed and the Junior Infants and SET teachers moved into their rooms on Tuesday 18th April 2023.

As Principal I witness on a day to day basis the continued commitment of the school and the staff to the provision of an excellent all-round education for our students. We are a team that come together in the shared partnership of educating our wonderful students. At St Eunan's NS we provide the environment, expertise and resources to allow the children to develop and learn.

Most importantly our students enjoy the opportunities to celebrate their many achievements. These achievements have been in their academic studies, sport, music, quizzes, and the arts to name just a few and we are justly proud of them. We are a school where all children can enjoy learning and where achievement in all aspects of life is celebrated.

Parents work closely with the school. To have a good understanding of our parent body is very important to enable the school to meet the needs and aspirations of our families and students. We work closely with the Parents' Association and we welcome parents to join the committee.

We are passionate and committed to our school’s core values of friendship, tolerance and respect. Children are encouraged to live these values in all aspects of school life. We hold a strong child-centred approach to teaching and learning, where consistency, praise, encouragement and challenge are key.

We have recently been granted funding for an extension to our school and we are enthusiastic to enhance and promote all aspects of St Eunans NS.
